Seminar: Anthropogenic Noise and Its Impact on Marine Species – An Indian Perspective

A one day Seminar on “Anthropogenic Noise and It’s Impact on Marine Species – An Indian Perspective” is scheduled to be hosted by MILIT DIAT (DU), Pune on 05 June 2013.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 05th of June. To mark this occasion, Military Institute of Training (MILIT), Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (Deemed University) – DIAT DU located in Pune is scheduled to host this seminar.

We are aware that In the Oceans Underwater Noise Pollution is as Harmful as Oil Pollution. It makes us proud to know that MILIT DIAT (DU), has taken this initiative to host a seminar on anthropogenic noise (noise due to human activity) in the oceans and it’s deadly effects on marine species.

This seminar is expected to be very useful to personnel in Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy, Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Environment, Marine Conservation Specialists, NGOs, Academic Institutes, Ship Builders, Ship Operators, Fishing Community including common man.
