Admiral Patrick Michael Walsh, Commander, Pacific Fleet, U.S. Navy, called on the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Nirmal Verma, in New Delhi on February 28, 2011. This is Admiral Walsh’s first visit to India after taking over as Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
Also the visiting Admiral along with a five-member delegation concluded his two days visit at Mumbai,
- by interacting with Vice Admiral Sanjeev Bhasin, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.
- by visiting INS Delhi, the indigenously-built Guided Missile Destroyer.
