A four hectare Russian island on the Narva Reservoir has drifted and reached the shores of Estonia on June 19.
Some interesting features of the floating island are:
- Reason for drifting: High water levels and strong winds.
- Impact of drifting: Buildings on the shore are likely to be damaged.
In fact many islands on the Narva Reservoir have started drifting.
