The vessel was registered as 2999 tonnes DWT however she claims to have a cargo of 2985 tonnes and 16 tonnes of fuel oil/lubricating oil and maybe some more water and being a 24 yr old ship will have some constant wt.(additional wt of crew, stores, muck in the ballast tanks, etc.)which adds upto more than the DWT. So technically I think the vessel was overloaded to begin with if at all!

The Cambodian flag vessel lowered its boat in the water with all the 12 crew and made it to lng tanker Abu Dhabi which was drifting in the area. The sailors walked up the gangway of the vessel. Korean coastguard did nothing, they were however hanging around within 2 miles radius, looking and doing nothing.

A mighty vessel, just shy of ULCC denomination! Eye catching post title! Shame about the collision.
