Some of the interesting features of Admiral Wu Sheng Li’s five days visit are:

  • to meet Defence minister A K Antony and his Indian counterpart Admiral Sureesh Mehta at New Delhi.
  • to visit
  • to finalize Indo-China joint naval exercises as a follow up of previously conducted joint naval exercises in 2003 and 2007.

It is interesting to note that this visit takes place amidst the recently conducted Indo-USĀ  joint naval exercise Malabar-08, Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS 2008) and Chinese String of Pearls.
