USS Barry (DDG52) has docked in Georgian port of Poti on three days visit. The U.S Navy’s visit has come more than two months after Georgia’s five-day conflict with Russia in early August. Being a routine visit, no joint military exercises are planned. USS Barry is a guided missile destroyer.
The Georgians greeted the American destroyer Barry in a ceremony with wine. Reason ? Very interesting.
Germans say that wine industry is doing well even after the global financial crisis, with sales at home as well as abroad unaffected by the crash. In fact wine sales has gone up in Spain, Italy and France after the financial crisis.
