Seven Restaurants, Three Bars and 10,000 bottles of wine ………. of Conrad Hotels & Resorts are at the tiny Maldives islands in the Indian Ocean. One of the restaurants is ‘Ithaa’, the World’s first undersea restaurant. ‘Ithaa’ means ‘pearl’ in the Maldivian language of Dihevi.
The interesting features of Ithaa are
- at a depth of five metres below the sea level surrounded by coral reef
- all glass with 180 degrees of panoramic underwater views of marine life
- serves contemporary Western menu blended with Maldivian flavours
