International Maritime Organization (IMO), on March 17th completed 50th anniversary of the Convention entering into force in 1958.
- presently IMO has to its credits no less than 50 international conventions and protocols
- represented by 167 Member States
- 100th meeting of the IMO Council will be held in June 2008
