Confined spaces in the ships are dangerous to enter to carry out any work. The following hazards in confined spaces are to be noted:
- No lighting or inadequate lighting
- No ventilation, even toxic gases are expected
- Easy access is not there
- No communication facility is available
- Can cause death if safety procedures are not followed
The six easy steps to enter confined spaces are given below which are self explanatory.
