Is it practical to manually launch high capacity (say 30 men or 35 men) liferafts????

I am told that there are arrangements whereby the cradle is made in a way that the liferaft is self launching – is that correct? If so is it compulsory for higher capacity liferafts?

You’re welcome. Now, do you know where I might be able to find a version of MARPOL Annex V to print and post? We operate in a remote area of Papua New Guinea, so popping down to the shop and picking up a placard, or a book, or anything is s bit difficult. I tried the IMO site, but just felt violated with confusion afterwards. Any suggestions?
